A subset of our Flexible Online Charging suite of solutions, the Pay4First solution is a cost-effective solution that charges prepay and postpay mobile customers a premium rate for the first call of the day. After this initial charge subsequent calls are free or at a discounted rate up to a predetermined limit. This service may be limited to On-Net and Off-Net national calls.

On-Net and Off-Net calls may have different rates and as a result each type of call will have its own pre-set limits that are reset at midnight everyday. When the limit is reached for each call type, then subsequent calls for that call type are charged at normal tariffs by the prepay or postpay billing systems.

The value for operators is that Pay4First encourages customers to use the mobile operator’s SIM in highly saturated markets that are largely prepay. When introduced in a consumer market Pay4First is a compelling product hence operators gain customers. With Pay4First operators can also offer an attractive convergent solution for both postpay and prepay customers.
